This is the first of the ink on canvas paintings.
The partial face, representing self awareness, is
based on a drawing I did called "The Angry
Sun" which later became the tattoo on my right
arm. There are no perfectly straight lines creating
a loose feel that an idea may have before it is
realized. The painting is entirely ink except for
the large white circle on the left, which is a white
ink/acrylic paint mix. The reason for the acrylic
is that white ink is dull and not opaque so it is
not very distinguishable from the canvas. The acrylic
white strengthened the circle which was important
for the paintings composition. The circle represents
the blank slate from which a brand new thought begins..
